Papers, 1687-1716.

A small bound ms. volume entitled "An Epitome of the book entitled The Figures and types of the Old Testament ... by Mr. Samuel Mather ... "([London?], 1683), written by Nathaniel Clap in 1687. Also, a bound volume of ms. letters and memos, most addressed to a Mrs. Church, in which Clap offers spiritual counsel and advice. Clap was a Harvard graduate (1690) and minister of a Congregational church in Newport, R.I.
